Will MetroPCS Ever offer 3g Plans?

I know MetroPcs went from 1x to 4g LTE but will they ever have 3g? I have An Lg Optimus M Which supports 3g but it isnt going 3g since its using 1x because thats the speed metro pcs has. Does any one know if Metro Pcs Will have 3g? or if not then i'll just buy the Samsung Galaxy Indulge to go 4g.
